The Prospects Inc support team is currently looking for a dynamic individual, which can prove to be a quick learner that also has an interest in customer service and technical support.

Your assigned tasks will be

• Answer phone calls related to technical problems or usage of our software.
• Explain and assist clients during the installation of the software..
• Verify the satisfaction of our clients in regards to our products through surveys, e-mails or follow-up calls.
• Assist clients that call to obtain general information on their account, our products, our existing or new promotions and billing.
  

Essential skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® (2000, XP and Vista), microcomputers, e-mails ...etc.
• Solid ENGLISH AND FRENCH communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Quick learning abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations with assurance.

Prospects is currently looking for a Java developer who will bring his/her expertise in the field to development of Web applications.
The candidate will participate in the analysis and development of different aspects of the Prospects Web application; server-side, Web-services, MVC, database, DHTML user interface.
He/she will be asked to make pertinent suggestions and suggest implementation solutions that are concrete, sound and realistic in the context of a Web application.

The candidate will also

• Maintain and improve the existing functions.
• Share his/her knowledge with the other members of the team.
• Be comfortable with system administration to secure the good operation of the application on multiple servers.
  

Skills

Technical requirements
Essential  :  Experience in (D)HTML and Javascript development
Essential  :  Experience with JSP, Servlet, JDBC, Eclipse
Important :  Experience with MVC solutions like Struts, JSF
Important :  Knowledge of the technical challenges brought up by a web architecture
                     (scalability, high-availability, backups, etc)
Asset        :  Experience with Linux
Asset        :  Experience with Web services

General Criteria
Essential  :  Experience in Java development (minimum 2 years, non academic)
